Assignment photography in South Africa
RARE is a non-profit conservation organization with projects around the world. One of their great initiatives is the Pride Campaign. Each campaign uses a local partner to create a mascot based on a keystone species that needs protection. The program aims to help communities develop pride in their local nature and resources.
I was hired to photograph a series of Pride Campaigns across South Africa for assorted marketing purposes. These images appeared on the RARE website and assorted marketing materials.
